Since Covid 19 I don't have as many resources as I would of had so i've had to do something different. In school a lot has changed like I cant make contact with anyone or go near any other year , we also have to walk around with masks on. For now i'm going to be making a website about photography I'm going to be doing without using main resources like a camera.
Its been hard being in school since it isn't like before but lockdown was nice because I got time with my family and it was easy to cope with .
the phrase make do and mend means to methat you have to use what you have and just get on with it .
strips photography.
here i cut a image into strips to make it look different then how it started. you can make it look backwards or even make it look like there is double or four of a image,
folding pictures.
.
you can make intresting and unique pictures out of things that they weren't before.
The only downside of this is that it isn,t a flat image so it cant be framed easily
In this picture there is a lot of women figures. The back ground is filled with bmw logos, this style is from the 1930s 1940s. this image kind of makes out as a body. a big brown hair is at the top and it makes out to be curly and short with machinery as legs. The lightbulb strikes me because it is brighter then the rest of the image and its being used as a head. There is another girl at the top right with a normal face with huge eyes. she is black and white instead of the sane colour as the rest of the image which is orange/ coppery.
the title beautiful girl makes you thing of something else which isn't this. half of this image is machinery and half is a women. I would call this image machine girl. It gives off a ironic vibe and three adjectives to describe this image bronze unique intresting - Why would someone make this image? - What made Hannah Hoch think of it - What does it mean to her?
Mona lisa
Mona Lisa is a famous painting that was painted in 1503. Its very famous because of her 'smile/smirk' . The mona Lisa was also stolen out of a french museum because he thought it belonged in a italian one which made it even more famous.
the phrase L.H.O.O.Q by Duchamp means 'Elle a Chaud au Cul' meaning 'she has a hot arse. What hes done to the painting ( adding male facial ) is revolutionary because it is such a famous painting. it also adds gender ambiguity. Its also quiet offensive.
the term ready made meaning to the painting is that someone has already painted it and duchamp is adding his own things (male characteristics) to it like working with what you have and working with what you have/doing what you can.
because the mona lisa is so big and a famous painting it was such a big thing that duchamp put his own things on this painting. its ready made because someone famous already painted it and he added his own touches which are also quiet offensive to leonardo da vinvi himself.
prison and photography
sometimes in prison photographers are invited into prison to take pictures of the inmates and there lives, prison authorities might want to invite photographers to boost the prisoners creativity and change the way we look at prisons , we look at them as overcrowded , nasty and a place we're not so good people go but if we bring photographers in it could change peoples veiws .
• Klavdij sluban takes pictures in teenage prisons , since prisons since they are still learning about the world and trying to get there head around it . photography could help them in many ways.
•the photographer exchanges with his students the fact that they have gone to prison at a young age which is 'beyond the norm' and he likes to work with them
